Author Namita Gokhale launches her new book at JLF 2020!on Jan 30, 2020 Jaipur Literature Festival 2020 has wrapped up with all the love of readers and exciting sessions. The Lucknawni author and director of Jaipur Literature Festival, Namita Gokhale has launched her new book ‘Jaipur Journals’ in a session JLF. The book was launched by well-known author and politician Shashi Tharoor. He also shared an insight about the book by quoting it as “charming scene” in the book. Tharoor said, “Jaipur Journals is a celebration of the festival of writers, of participants, of the audience. The book has fascinating characters woven into it.” Tharoor was also one of the regular visitors in JLF 2020. According to both the writers, the “funny, pacy, meta-fictional” novel searches the inspiration and heartbreaks of the loneliest of the tribes. The book is about what it takes to be a great writer. The story in the book is a bag of mix tales told by the perspectives of multiple characters. The writer of the book, Gokhale shared the details about her favourite character of the story. She said that her favourite character in the book called Rudrani Rana, and of a delightful burglar who, inspired by veteran lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar, becomes a poet. Gokhale is one of the pioneer writers of modern India who has played a significant role in organising the Jaipur Literature Festival. She has written 16 books including 9 works of fiction.
